Where can I find information about a knitting machine?

Among my mother's belongings found after she died was a small, handheld knitting and/or sewing machine. It has a foldable handle with the letters "ARS" on it. It has no other distinct markings that identify it. It has a large dial on top, 3 "switches" at the front, and a lot of other levers and small turning parts. Does anyone have any idea where I might get information about this machine? Thank you.
